HVCC staff helped train workers to complete solar project

President Roger Ramsammy spoke during a press event April 19 at the Ulysses S. Grant Cottage in Wilton, where staff from Hudson Valley Community College assisted with a project to install a solar panel array by training NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation workers.

Grants Cottage, a national historic landmark, now will get all its power from the solar panels. The partnership project with the state’s Energy Research and Development Authority makes this historic site the first state parks facility to go entirely off the grid.
